Ilizarov surgery is one of the finest art of Medical science. It is the tecnique that makes harmony of biology and regeneration. In health science especially in orthopaedics showing respect to the the wounderfull biology of humanbody is a must thing to promote wellbeing.
Ilizarov Tec is name of passion, love and devotion for center of ilizarov surgery. Dr Md Arifuzzaman started ilizarov surgery in Kushtia 2019 after we got attached to kushtia medical college hospital . Before 2019 ilizarov surgery in peripheral setting like kushtia was not so flourished. Trained from mentor Prof MM BARI, He started ilizarov surgery in Magura 2013 and dreamed to create a specialised center on ilizarov. With the continuation of dream , ilizarov center in kushtia is gaining shape and began its journey of dream. Dr Md Arifuzzaman did his diploma in orthopaedic and Masters of surgery in orthopaedics from NITOR, Bangladesh in 2008,2013 respectively. In MS his thesis topics was 'Evaluation of results of distraction osteogenesis in hypertrophic nonunion of tibia with deformity and shortening'.
With inspiration and continuous guidance of mentor Prof MM BARI,Dr Arifuzzaman was always keen and eger to do fellowship on ilizarov Tec in different prestigious institution of world. In 2015 he went to South Korea in GURO HOSPITAL,KOREA UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER for doing fellowship under Prof HR SONG, one of world great scholar in ilizarov , deformity correction and authority in achondroplasia. He had done a successful 6month training on limb lengthening and deformity correction and paediatric orthopaedics. It was the time for him to get touch of modern facilities and 1st world medical science. Way of thinking and ideology of Prof HR SONG inspired Dr Arifuzzaman. With the continuous effort of gaining training and to get touched of various speciality of orthopaedic surgery,he went to Pune India in Sancheti hospital for training under Prof Sandeep patwardan . He also attend several instructional course of Bombay orthopaedic society on JESS(JOSHI external stabilization system), management of cerebral palsy in 2017,2018. On 2019 Dr Arifuzzaman went to his dream institute of orthopaedics kurgan,Russia ,the house of ilizarov,The Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics or RISC RTO for extensive training on ilizarov. In his orthopaedics carrier since 2008 he only adhered to ilizarov surgery and dreamed to create a state of the art center on ilizarov. In 2023 he was promoted as assistant professor of ilizarov and deformity correction , and posted in Magura Medical College against the post of assistant professor orthopaedic surgery .
